    About Us

    In 2009, newly appoionted Head Coach, Mark Jones, started with only three academy members. Today, the Academy has over 25 members going into the 2010 season.

    The Academy is starting to establish itself as a force to be reckoned with. It currently trains two 5th Dan Masters, 10 4th Dan Masters and one 3rd Dan Master.

    Academy members with the potential, can develop on the National Circuit and look to become part of the National team and progress to the Olympic dream with the support of the British Taekwondo Board of Control. No other Taekwondo orginisation can offer this opportunity.

    Filton College has a partnership with Nazarene University of Korea. The top four U.K students have the opportunity to train and coach in Korea for one month.

    Head Coach, Mark Jones has over 41 years experience in the field martial arts. He started training in Judo and Higashi Karate. He also boxed in the A.B.A finals and his Shotokan Karate skills were given a recommendation by Master Shihan Hirokazu Kanazawa, a well respected and great fighting spirit in western European Taekwondo. Mark has coached and developed Regional, British, Commonwealth and European Champions across sports, from boxing, MMA, and Taekwondo.
